RhoRho Illustrations was set up and is run by Thomas and Bridget Rhodes from their home in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. They specialise in creating bespoke, original pictures which reflect the character of the subjects. While illustrations of houses and cars top the list of requests they receive, they are always curious and happy to chat about more unusual commissions.
Thomas is a technical illustrator who has always loved drawing. He creates the pen and ink line drawings. Bridget is a graphic designer, she runs the shop, maintains the website and adds magic and colour to the pictures on her computer.
After creating gifts of home illustrations for friends and family over the years, the couple began to receive commissions as more and more people saw and enjoyed what they had created. On the basis that your work should be something you love to do, Thomas and Bridget decided to start RhoRho illustrations.
Each illustration is carefully crafted and personalised to create a simplified and stylized image based on the photograph that you provide. The illustrations are hand drawn with pen and ink, then scanned at super-high resolution to retain the original clarity and quality, before each hand drawing is digitally coloured with a simplified palette based on the colours in the photograph. The final artwork is printed with pigment-based inks onto high quality Somerset 225gsm archival paper and carefully mounted or framed.

Rho Rho will have a stall at Royal Deeside Speed Festival and are offering a special pre-event discount of 15% for anyone who wants to order a picture of their own car, all you have to do is send them a photograph and they will make it into a beautiful piece of art!
