Stunt Cyclists set to wow the crowds at the Royal Deeside Speed Festival

The Clan cycle stunt team roll into town with their crazy stunt show at the Royal Deeside Speed Festival on Sunday 21st August 2016.

The stars of Scotland’s cycling community have appeared to over 100,000 people live in the flesh, over 1 million on television and over 30 million with their crazy online videos, and now their stunts are to be acted out live for audiences attending the Royal Deeside Speed Festival.

The Clan team were formed four years ago by youtube sensation Danny Macaskill who has since gone on to become one of the most famous cyclists in the world. Since releasing his “April 2009” and “Way Back Home” videos on youtube and TV, Danny has become a globe-trotting celebrity which is a long way from his humble beginnings as a bike mechanic in Edinburgh. Join Danny MacAskill on an insane journey across the rooftops of Gran Canaria. Mixing vertigo-inducing lines and killer POV-footage, some incredible riding.

Now the talented group he began are coming to show off their equally-scary talents on their custom-built stunt rig. Expect to see bikes flying over your heads, doing amazingly skilful tricks, big drops, leaping gaps and even riding over each other!

Clan manager Ruth Asbery said: “We’re really looking forward to the event. It’s great being able to take the talents of the most extreme cyclists in the UK into the community. We especially love the reaction on kids’ faces when they see what can be done on the bikes”

Event organiser, Tony Yule said “The Royal Deeside Speed Festival team are very excited to be able to bring The Clan to Kincardine Castle. Royal Deeside has a long history of supporting cycling and we are delighted to be able to marry our love of cars and motorsport with the talent that these guys possess; the thrills which they will provide perfectly echo the thrills and excitement which will be on display during the whole Speed Festival Event”.
